HeartBeats 5/10k
4/28/2008
I just wanted to take a minute and thank the Bird family for their hard work in the Heartbeat 5 & 10K on Sunday.  The race went on without a hitch.  It was also good to put some names to some faces.  It was a pleasure to finally meet Becca.  She is such an inspiration.  I have been reading her blog since last fall summer and have finally added a link on our website.  Becca's Blog  If you read some of our past blogs, you know that Ross' wife, Angie, is a cancer survivor.  It is amazing how many people this disease touches.  It is an honor and humbling to know them both and the strength they have.

As for the race we were represented by two runners.  Julie, in her first race, finished 26th.  Great job.  I ran as well, finishing 16th while still having some crazy chest cold thing. The weather was much better than I had anticipated, however the course was much hillier.  Yes, hillier.  I'd also like to thank Jed, sorry I didn't get a chance to say hello, for his continued support on RunIndiana.com

We look forward to working with you all over the summer.  Hopefully inspiring and helping people in and out of the running community.  Oh,  a special thanks to the unknown young lady that ran in the race sporting her Fred Toenges T-Shirt.  Shoot me an email @ jwhite@toengesshoes.com.
